Academic ChatGPT

21 universities are already participating in our 'Academic ChatGPT' project. With Academic ChatGPT, ACOmarket makes ChatGPT accessible on an isolated instance of Microsoft Azure. This allows the use of ChatGPT without entered data and uploaded documents leaving the 'Azure Secure Landing Zone'.

The aim of the project is to provide a generic and scalable cloud platform on which ChatGPT can be used without security concerns.

Plugins and various other AI services can be added in later project phases.

With the support of its project partners Microsoft Österreich und Imendo, ACOmarket is responsible for setting up the cloud platform and will make it available to universities via its project partner ACOnet.

The Azure Secure Landing Zone will be procured by ACOmarket using the OCRE framework agreement so that the participating universities do not have to carry out any procurement procedures.

University users will be able to log in to Academic ChatGPT with their existing user accounts using single sign-on.

As part of the project, detailed documentation, a transparent billing concept for the settlement of costs between ACOmarket and the universities, a security and data protection concept including ready-to-use contract templates will be created.

In the first quarter of 2024, the functionality and a corresponding framework architecture will be defined and the features prioritised in coordination with the participating universities based on user groups and use cases.

The completion of 'Stage 1' of the 'Academic ChatGPT' cloud platform is planned to take place no later than June 2024.
